Performance Boost for Pressure Regulators
Performance Boost for Pressure Regulators
The gas technology specialist WITT has increased the performance of its dome-loaded pressure regulator models 757LE and 737LE-HD even more.
As a result, the top version 757LE now provides a flow rate factor 36 percent higher with a Kv value of 15: WITT has been able to boost the maximum input pressure of many gases in the high-pressure regulator 737LE-HD by 50 percent to 300 bar.

Modified atmosphere instead of chemical additives
New Ethylene Analyser for Controlled Fruit Ripening
Is the ethylene dosage right? Fruit producers can now answer
this question comprehensively using the mobile gas analyser MFA 9000 from Witt.
The new Fruit Logistica measuring unit from the German gas technology specialist WITT determines the ethylene concentration with the greatest precision and does not need any separate reference gas for this, unlike other systems.

New safety valve AV919 protects against gas overpressure
Almost 1000 m³ blow-off volume
When the pressure in technical gas systems is to be kept constant, special safety valves are used, these blowing off gas at even the smallest pressure increases. To this end, the German manufacturer WITT has developed the new AV919 with a previously unavailable performance spectrum.

No algae cultivation without gas technology
Carbon dioxide plays a central role in profitable algae cultivation. The technology is provided by German manufacturer Witt.
The company is one of a few producers who provide all the necessary key systems for gas handling. These include mixing, dosing and control systems as well as analysers and safety equipment. “A project team designs the entire gas installation technology”, says Martin Bender. “This is advisable for safety reasons and it also simplifies approval processes for the operator”.

Practical tip for gas technology
Automatic Calibration
The operating costs and defective production of many technical gas systems can be reduced quickly if these are equipped with an automatic calibration unit. The function should be planned from the start, as a retrofit is usually not possible.
“Every measuring and analysis device for technical gases must be calibrated regularly if it is to function accurately”, declares Martin Bender of WITT-Gasetechnik, one of the leading providers. The manufacturers specify the interval.
“An annual calibration is usually envisioned, but shorter intervals are recommended.” A so-called zero gas is initially connected for this. The device must therefore display a gas concentration of zero. If not, the display must be reset to this value by hand. A calibration gas with definite concentration is then connected, which has to be detected precisely. Only then is the proper functioning of the system ensured.

For the highest quality standards
Witt introduces integrated moisture measurement for gas mixers
Witt, the market leader in gas mixing and metering systems and gas analyzers, announces new ga
s mixers with integrated moisture measurement which ensures the highest quality gas mixture for optimal manufacturing results.
"Moisture in gasses can have a negative effect on the manufacturing process, especially when heat-treating metals," said Andreas Heyer, senior product manager. "When heat-treating metals, specially composed atmospheres are often used to ensure perfect and consistent processes. If the moisture level in the furnace is too high, it can have a negative effect on the manufacturing process," added Heyer.

Innovation for safety relief valves
Ventable in installed condition
Witt-Gasetechnik, the market leader in gas safety technology, announces it has developed a new venting function for safety relief valves. The SV805 A enables functional tests of installed Witt safety relief valves at any time.
“The new Witt relief valve SV805 A with straight design has been developed especially for venting with a connected blow-off pipe,” confirms Product Manager Andreas Heyer. “The escaping gas is not emitted into the ambient air but rather directly led into the blow-off pipe by using the venting function.”

New safety requirements for hydrogen-powered vehicles in 2011
As alternative energy sources such as Hydrogen become common replacing petroleum for use in the automobile safe standards need to be established. This decision of the European Parliament will be implemented beginning February 2011.
Suppliers are currently working on implementing the new regulation. However, it is precisely the components relevant for the safety of vehicles; Gas equipment engineering specialist WITT supplies the SV 811 safety valve that is compulsory for every vehicle.

Improving what's good
WITT introduces new version of its "PA" gas analyser
Gas analysers by WITT are renowned for their effectivity and sophistication. However, this doesn’t mean that development
ends here. Far from it! The new “PA 6.0” model line showcases the leading edge in technology.
The new “PA” generation is a highly-compact table-top analyser. Thanks to its small size and lightweight design, the device can be stored at any place where gas mixtures are processed. The flexible system can be deployed both for random sampling and for permanent monitoring and is used e.g. in the food industry or in welding and cutting applications.

Gas Safety Equipment
New Dome Pressure Regulators
WITT-Gasetechnik introduces new pressure regulators as two of our latest innovative developments. They are suitable for a wide range of applications and technical gases.
The models 747LE and 757LE offer a substantially-increased pipe diameter of up to two inches (previously ¾-inch) as well as an improved and increased maximum flow rate over a wide range of pressures. In addition, the regulator valve system has been optimised. They are of great interest for users who need constant gas pressure at the outlet point even when consumption is fluctuating.
