Oxygen burn-out safety up to 200 bar

WITT Reguladores de presión DOMO 737LE HD S

26.09.2018

The "737LE-HD/S" dome pressure regulator set from Witt is proven to be oxygen burn-out safe, at pressures up to 200 bar. This has now been confirmed by testing done by the German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM).

Safety experts recommend this type of external testing, as performed by the BAM, as it verifies manufacturer data using objective test procedures. "Users of our dome-loaded pressure regulators are guaranteed the maximum possible level of safety as well as operability", Andrew Smart, Head of Sales for Gas Safety Devices at Witt, explained.

Oxygen is considered a critical application for dome-pressure regulators because of the risk of burn-out from spontaneous ignition at high pressures. To address this problem, Witt has developed the 737LE-HD/S series. As well as oxygen, this powerful pressure regulator can also be used for other technical gases.

The maximum inlet pressure for oxygen is 200 bar, with an outlet pressure control range of 0.5 to 60 bar. A higher inlet pressure of up to 300 bar is also possible for other gases.
The 737 LE-HD/S is ideal for pipework installation or for use as a manifold pressure regulator to DIN EN ISO 7291.

The dome pressure regulator set, comprising a pilot pressure regulator, a dome pressure regulator, manometer and fittings, also complies with the requirements of hazardous substance leaflet M034-2 issued by the Employers Liability Insurance Association for the Chemicals Industry. This publication defines materials suitable for oxygen service.

WITT Dome pressure regulators offer unparalleled pressure control accuracy. Their many applications include gas mixing systems and burners. They generate a constant working pressure, compensating for pressure fluctuations in the gas supply pressure and for varying flow rates. This performance allows maximum control of the downstream process.

Witt is considered to be one of the leading manufacturers of top quality safety and regulating technology for all kinds of gases. The company is present in more than 60 countries.
