Data protection information applicants
We are pleased that you are applying or have applied for a job with the WITT Group. In the following, we will gladly provide you with information on the processing of your personal data in connection with your application. Please read the following information and regulations carefully before submitting your data to us.
Which of your data will be processed by us and for what purposes?
We collect data that you send or communicate to us in connection with your application by online application form, post or e-mail. We process your data in order to check your suitability for the position and to carry out the application procedure or to process it correctly.
Legal basis
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application procedure is mainly Art. 88 Data Protection Basic Regulation (DSGVO) in conjunction with § 26 Para. 1 S.1 BDSG. Accordingly, the processing of data required in connection with the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship is permissible.
If you send us an unsolicited application, we regard the processing of this data as a mutually justified interest in order to offer you a suitable position. Should the data be necessary for legal prosecution after completion of the application procedure, data processing can take place on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our interest then lies in the assertion or defence of claims.
You provide all data voluntarily; there is no obligation to provide data. Without this data, however, we are usually not in a position to consider you as an applicant.
How long is your data stored?
If your application is successful, we will transfer your data to our personnel administration. In the event of rejection, the data of applicants will be deleted six months after the end of the application procedure.
The data of your application for a job advertisement will be deleted after 6 months in case of a rejection. In the event that you have agreed to the further storage of your personal data or have submitted an unsolicited application, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. There the data will be deleted at the latest three years after the last contact. If you have been awarded a job as part of the application process, the data will be transferred to a personnel file.
Will your data be passed on?
After receipt of your application, your applicant data will be viewed by the personnel department. Suitable applications will then be forwarded confidentially internally to the department heads. In principle, only those persons who need your data for the application procedure to run properly have access to it. If your application is successful, your data will be further processed as part of the recruitment process. Only those persons who need your data for the proper course of the recruitment process will have access to your data.
Data processing within the framework of the application procedure is carried out by us exclusively within the European Union.
Processing of your application data via talentstorm
Your data will be passed on to technical service providers who will use your data exclusively on our behalf and under no circumstances for their own business purposes. In this case, we use the talentstorm software of the company ontavio GmbH, with which we have concluded a contract for commissioned data processing pursuant to Art. 28 DSGVO. Further information regarding data protection for the software and ontavio GmbH can be found at the following link: https://www.ontavio.de/datenschutz/talentstorm
What rights can you exercise?
You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process about you pursuant to Article 15 DSVGO. In accordance with the statutory provisions, you may demand that your data be corrected or deleted or that the processing of your data be restricted. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about aspects of the processing of your data by us.
Right of objection
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. If you file an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can prove compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.
Right of revocation
In addition, in the event that personal data is processed on the basis of a consent (applicant pool), you have the right to revoke this consent to us at any time with effect for the future. The legality of the processing of your data until revocation remains unaffected by a revocation.
The objection and the revocation can take place form-free and should be addressed to the following address:
