Gas Mixers for Glass and Thermal Processing

Technical and optical glass products are high-precision products, which can only be produced using high performance technology.

State-of-the-art gas regulation systems by WITT for an accurate fuel gas/oxygen mixture provide the necessary precision and a constant burner supply.

Whether you are using premixed gases or a gas mixer – you can choose between various gases for the burner supply: Propane, natural gas, hydrogen and acetylene can be mixed with oxygen or ambient air. The production of three - or multi gas mixtures is also possible. Using the MFC technology (MFC = Mass Flow Controller) an accurate gas mixture and an exact metering is ensured. Together with this feature, the system provides digital measurement data for the permanent quality control using an integrated analysing system.

The fully electronic control optimises the mass flow of the fuel gases, balances out interferences such as pressure fluctuations or temperature influence and provides constant values for the entire production process, thus avoiding a high reject rate.

The storage and easy reproducibility of product-related flow-rates provide a minimal start-up time when changing the product line. The accurate logging of the flow rates of the gases provide an effective quality and cost control.

The MFC-systems by WITT combine all components which are necessary for quality control such as non-return valves, gas filter and solenoid valves, which are already integrated. Also equipped with flashback arrestors, this solution represents the highest levels of safety.
